Upgrade your tote
If you would like an additional 96 gallon garbage tote (either provided by us, or your own additional tote) the cost would be $16.95 per month plus tax.
If you would prefer to upgrade recycles to a 96 gallon tote, this is an additional $5.50 per month plus tax.
These are billed directly by Seyrek Disposal at the start of each year.
Pick up options
You are welcome to use your own garbage tote, recycle bins, or recycle tote. Please mark your own totes/bins accordingly (Garbage/Recycles) so that the crew is aware which is which.
If you would like walk up collection to your house or garage, this service is available for an additional $5.00 plus tax per month, billed directly by Seyrek Disposal.
Payment information
The payment for standard refuse will be charged on your Town and County taxes. Seyrek Disposal will bill for any chargeable services listed above, or large and bulky items collected at the location.

The following FAQs apply only to the Town of Pittsford Refuse Districts
1. What is the holiday schedule?
Since the Town is billing for the whole year, there will be no vacation holds. Customers can put the garbage on hold if they go out of town for a minimum of one month, however, it won't change your cost at all, and it won't extend service by that one month. The bill is for the year, January 1 to December 31 each year.
We have 6 holidays throughout the year that may affect your pick up, these include New Years Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day. When a holiday falls on a day within the work week, collection shall move from Friday to Saturday.
2. What time are weekly routes?
Please have your garbage out for collection the night before your collection day. The routes run from 7:00 am - 5:00 pm each day. If for any reason your garbage is not collected by 5:30 pm, please leave a message with the office and we will take care of it as soon as possible.
3. What about unusual and special pickups?
No more than 6 garbage bags in addition to the garbage tote will be allowed for pick up weekly. These bags need to have normal contents and weight, and no more than Any over this (counting both garbage and yard debris) will be charged at $3.00 - $5.00 per bag.
Appliances are picked up separately from your regular trash and are recycled. Please contact our office if you require an appliance pickup for guidelines on collection or how we can assist.
We do NOT collect any large duty electronics or items containing Freon. These need to be disposed of by a specialist, and we would always recommend the Monroe County Eco park for drop-off.
Other large and bulky items are subject to additional charges. Please contact our office one day prior to your collection day so we can notify our crews of a special collection to ensure the items are picked up in an appropriate timeframe.
- Carpeting and padding should be cut into 2-4 foot lengths; rolled and tied into bundles that one person can lift. These can count toward the bag limit each week.
- No oil, batteries, car parts or antifreeze of any kind.
Household trash only so if you are remodeling a home we DO NOT pick up wood, windows, doors and other building materials. For this would recommend contacting the office for our roll off service.
*Please note that if you have large and bulky items you DO NOT want collected make sure they are on the opposite side of where your garbage and recycling containers are so we know not to collect*
4. What about Fall Leaf & Yard Debris Collection?

5. What about electronic equipment?
Electronic equipment cannot be disposed of with normal trash collection and must be recycled by law. For more information visit the Monroe County Ecopark website.
6. What can be recycled?
The materials that are acceptable for curbside recycling are available on the Monroe County Ecopark website.
7. What about Sharps and Syringes?
Many residents use needles, syringes and lancets – commonly referred to as sharps, to manage medical conditions at home. Used sharps must be safely stored and properly disposed of to protect people and the environment. For more information visit the Monroe County Ecopark website.
